Hope has her first baby doll. Right away she put the little bottle up to it's lips, and then held her and patted her back. Very cute, and smart for a one yr old, wouldn't you say?
That was the first time I gave it to her. She doesn't seem too interested now, but every once in a while she will pick it up and hug it or pat it on the back.

Yesterday Alivia was totally "wowed" by the doll section at the store. If Hope's like any other little girl I know she'll only grow to love babies more.
Cute little thing!
It's weird how we're hard wired to know things right from the get-go huh?
That IS very smart for a one-year old ("wired" or not). Every little girl is drawn to baby dolls and girlie things, but not every one-year old knows how to right off (without promptings) give it a bottle and burp it! She has seemed very smart from the beginning anyway - a very unique, observant, happy baby!
I think my earlier comment was misinterpreted, I didn't mean it offensive or derogatory. I think Hope is a very smart little girl. Just because "I think" some things are hard wired into little girls doesn't make Hope any less brilliant, unique, observant or happy! I'm sorry Lindsey and Donna if you thought I was implying something else.
I knew what you meant Michelle. :) I had the same thought while I was watching her play with her doll. It seems like it is just an instinct.
Ooops! I was being sarcastic - no offense was taken Michelle.
Awww. I love that she is feeding the bottle into the baby's eye. :) Peter does that all the time! I think their aim improves with age?
